ENLARGING YOUR FAITH POTENTIAL FOR GREATER IMPACT IN LIFE – Part 1
We have been called to a continuous walk of faith by the Lord the Bible says ‘The just shall live by his faith’ – Galatians 3:11, Romans 1:17, ‘we walk by faith and not by sight- 2 Corinthians 5:7, we are healed by faith – Matthew 9:22, we overcome by faith – 1 John 5:4, we are saved by faith – Ephesians 2:8, even our prayers are answered by faith, etc.
This should tell us the importance of faith in our Christian adventure and as such, we should do everything to mind our faith. What happens to your faith will determine what happens in and to your life. I can say boldly that the state of your faith is what determines the state of your life.
Jesus told the two blind men who came crying after him for healing in Matthew 9:29 – ‘Then touched he their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it unto you’
This is an eye opener – it means your life and overall existence will always be a product of your faith, not the faith of the preacher or your neighbour but according to your faith.
All the times we are looking for a breakthrough, a miracle, a turnaround, answered prayers etc I think what we should be doing is working on how to enhance our faith increase its potential and enlarge its capacity to deliver greater results.
As we advance further in building our faith capacity, we are getting ready to receive bigger miracles and bigger testimonies. Our faith can grow if we do what we should – 2 Thessalonians 1:3. It happened among these folk and Paul referring to them was full of thanks to God for these brethren. The question now is how do we increase our faith or build our faith? The truth is, our faith can grow tremendously and take us to greater heights in life.
How to build your faith
1. Continuous study of the Word of God. Romans 10:17 – we know The Word remains forever the source of faith and if we want to build our faith, we must continue to study The Word. This is the primary source of Faith. Joshua. 1:8, 2 Timothy 2:15 – we need to study and meditate on the Word continuously to increase our faith capacity
2. Prayer and especially praying in the Holy Ghost – Jude 20. Prayer has a way of increasing and boosting our faith level. The moment you can pray through in the realms of the spirit, you just have this assurance that all is well, your faith level has just jumped ready to take delivery of your heart desires.
3. Spend time in Praise and Worship in the presence of God. As you do this, your faith begins to increase astronomically. Worship brings you to His presence and being in His presence helps you to see your weakness and His unlimited capacity to make things happen – by this, your faith level rises greatly for mighty works. You also begin to see greater lights, greater possibilities, and greater accomplishments – Psalm 36:9. All impossibilities disappear within microseconds in His presence. You are just full of His mighty power – Micah 3:8 and all doors are forcefully opened unto you.
