SUBMIT AND RESIST

Submit and Resist
These 2 keywords are done with our will. Submission is willingly allowing someone to control you. You are not forced. God will not force you to submit to Him, you will rather choose to do it. That was the reason why Satan took advantage of man to use his willpower in Eden and disobey God.
Satan knows the power of our submission to God, it will give us the power to resist him and he will lose his authority over our lives. The force behind the resistance we have over Satan that will make him flee from us is embedded in our total submission to God. If you are not submissive to God Satan will not bow to you. the Bible says in 2 Corinthians 10:4-6
For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds; Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
We love to use this portion of the scripture for spiritual warfare but what makes it work is vs 6
And having readiness to revenge all disobedience, *when your obedience is fulfilled.*
2 Corinthians 10:6 NLT
And after you have become fully obedient, we will punish *everyone* (every spirit or anything) who remains disobedient.

Do you see why many Christians will command satan to stop his operations but nothing happens? The reason is that their obedience level is low.
God has given us the willpower to determine what we want to do every time but if we do not use it to obey God’s authority things will be messed up around us the devil will just be having a free day.
Use your willpower to submit to God and Resist the devil, you know what, he will flee. Don’t give the devil a space not even an inch.
Submission is not only limited to God’s authority, it also extends to the obedient to men’s authority. we have categories of authorities placed by men as explained in the book of Eph. 6:1-8
Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right. Honour thy father and mother; (which is the first commandment with promise;) That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth…Servants, be obedient to them that are your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart, as unto Christ; Not with eyeservice, as men-pleasers; but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart; With good will doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men: Knowing that whatsoever good thing any man doeth, the same shall he receive of the Lord, whether he be bond or free.
As a Christian, you must fall into any of the categories listed above that is,  you are under one or two of these levels of authority, how well are you doing in carrying out what is expected of you? do you do eye service, lip service, or service from the heart? All these matters are in the kingdom of God. If you want to command the devils around you to stop their operations and have perpetual authority over them, you must be ready to submit to God and men who are above you.
