DO NOT BE TROUBLED
Let not your heart be troubled – Part 3
You are welcome again to this new week and we are still on this very crucial topic, ‘let your heart be troubled’
The scripture is very clear about the difficult and trying times that the world is going through at present. These things will come to pass because they are biblical prophecies that can never change. But as for us as children of God, we are bound to see all of these terrible things happening but we have the assurance of the scriptures that we can never be a victim of these happenings.
These are things we must go through, they are things we must experience but notwithstanding, we are to be preserved and remain unscratched by any of these negative occurrences.
Isaiah 43:2 – When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee:
When thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.
Let not your heart be troubled.
There’s nothing to be troubled about.
You may ask why someone at least should be a little bit worried about what is going on. How can someone not bother about all these things? Things are getting tougher every day, prices of commodities are increasing and are getting to unbearable proportions.
Robert Schuller once said when things get tough, the tough get going… no need to panic, all you need to do is to package yourselves better to be able to overcome all these challenges. You need a repackaging or a rebranding of yourself in the Lord to weather the storms of this present day and you will emerge as an overcomer.
What do you do to overcome the challenges of these times?
- Be conscious of the presence of the Almighty God by your side at all times – divine presence. Psalm 27:1-3.
[1] The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? [2] When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell. [3] Though a host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident.
With this, you will always be confident that you cannot be dislodged from where God has put you.
- Put your trust in Him in these uncertain times and you will always emerge triumphant. Psalm 125:1-3
Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego put their trust in God and though they were thrown into a fiery furnace, the power of that fire did not affect them. Daniel trusted God and was thrown into the den of lions but the lions couldn’t touch him.
[1] They that trust in the Lord shall be as mount Zion, which cannot be removed but abideth forever. [2] As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, so the Lord is round about his people from henceforth even forever. [3] For the rod of the wicked shall not rest upon the lot of the righteous; lest the righteous put forth their hands unto iniquity.
- Arm yourself with the truth of the Word of God concerning your exemption from evil
Yes, times are tough, things are not easy, and famine and all kinds of evil abound at this present age but then you must know what God is saying concerning you. You must be knowledgeable about your exemption from all these terrible happenings. You must arm yourself with revelations from the Word of God establishing your more than conquerors status amid these eventualities of this end time. For instance, we read in the scriptures.
– Isaiah 3:10 -Say ye to the righteous, that it shall be well with him: for they shall eat the fruit of their doings.
– Psalm 37:18-19 – The Lord knoweth the days of the upright: and their inheritance shall be forever. [19] They shall not be ashamed in the evil time: and in the days of famine, they shall be satisfied.
– Psalm 92:12-14 – The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree: he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon. [13] Those that be planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of our God. [14] They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be fat and flourishing;
With these and many other powerful scriptures, you can see that you have nothing to worry about, there’s nothing to be troubled about. You are in safe hands.
Shalom.
