CREATE SOMETHING FROM NOTHING (2)

Have a vision – be clear about what you want.

Welcome to the second in the series of how to create something from nothing. I would like to start by asking you a thought-provoking question: What’s on your mind? What comes to mind in your imagination? If Jesus were to knock on your door today and ask you, ‘What do you want me to do for you?’ what would be your response? What do you want to create? Can you describe that particular thing in detail?

Indeed, you may be down to zero in terms of resources, but your mind shouldn’t be at zero. Never! Your mind is expected to be full of great matters. You should have a plan of what you want from the start. Let us examine the construction of the Tower of Babel in Genesis 11:6 – And the LORD said, ‘Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do. These people had a clear picture of what they wanted – very simple: a tower that would reach heaven, period! Will it be possible? There was no budget for that because there was no business school that taught the principles of finance at that time. They already saw the possibility, and they embarked on the work.

In God’s creation, He was specific and clear about what He wanted. Although darkness covered everything, it did not deter Him or confuse Him as to what He wanted. He was so clear that what He needed at the first instance of His creation was light. He had a map out plan for His creation. From the orderly way he arranged it, it was very clear that He had everything planned from the onset. You can see the orderly arrangement in God’s creation. Fish was not created before the rivers and the seas, and neither were the animals created before vegetation.

Everything was arranged in an orderly fashion, suggesting that there was a master plan behind this creation. God had a vision, turned it into a plan, and then broke it down into programs which he pursued until He saw everything fulfilled. You no longer need to wait endlessly for a miracle. You rise and take miracles by clearly envisioning what you want, and you go ahead and make it happen. You must know there is no gift of miracles (1 Corinthians 12:10) To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues what we have is the gift of working miracles. Miracles are to be worked out. If it is to be worked out, then there must be a plan that is born out of a vision.

Vision sets the pace for your destination. Without a clear-cut vision, life remains in shambles, and one will remain destitute. We read from Scripture thus: Proverbs 29:18 – Where there is no vision, the people perish; but he who keeps the law, happy is he.

So, get a vision for yourself and have a dream of where you’re going. Visions and dreams are the language of the Holy Ghost. Yes, God speaks to us through these two powerful means to convey His ordained plan for our lives.
