THE POWER OF GOD’S PRESENCE IN YOUR HOME

The presence of God is one of the things that makes man special among all of God’s creatures. When Adam and his wife were in the Garden of Eden, God would come in the cool of the day to fellowship with them. God’s presence in the garden made it heaven on earth: no crisis, no chaos, but peace.

The presence of God in our homes today is inescapable; we, as children of God, must make sure that at all costs, we allow God to take His place in our homes.

I will be sharing what we stand to benefit from the presence of God.

1. THE PRESENCE OF GOD WILL BRING REST:

Exo 33:14 And he said, My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest. The presence of God is a guarantee of peace from every harassment of the enemy. When Moses was leading the children of Israel to the Promised Land, they were moving on a path they were not familiar with, a path full of dangerous beasts and nations ready to fight them. But all these were put in control by the presence of God that was with them all through their journey. The same is applicable in marriage and our journey at our various homes. No one is so sure of what the enemy is planning, but the presence of God will destroy all the enemies on the path of peace in our homes. Amen.

2. THE PRESENCE OF GOD WILL BRING FAVOUR

Genesis 39:2-3  And the LORD was with Joseph, and he was a prosperous man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian. And his master saw that the LORD was with him, and that the LORD made all that he did to prosper in his hand. The presence of God will command favour, as we can see it in the life of Joseph. As a young man and a slave, he became an important person because God favoured him. Psalms 5:12  For thou, LORD, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield. When your household is favoured, people will help you and give you gifts. Lack and want will be far away from you.

3. THE PRESENCE OF GOD IS THE SECRET OF PLEASURE AND SATISFACTION.

Psalms 16:11  Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore. Do you want to have fullness of joy in your home? Make sure you allow God’s presence in your home. There is a flow of joy when God is with you. The reason why many are depressed today is that they allow the situations around them to determine their happiness. The situation of things today can be depressing, except God, therefore, let the presence of God be your source of pleasure.
